MARCHESA Design Internship/Full Time

Marchesa is looking for a student/graduate to work in the design department in the New York offices

tasks will include:

*fabric manipulation, dying, embroidery designing,
*drawing and painting so it is crucial that applicants are able
*to present a portfolio that corresponds to our creative profile,
*alongside a genuine passion for couture.


Internship is full time (mon-fri) with the Marchesa design team in . The internship will last for a minimum of 3 months and will start asap/before the end of the month of November 2009 latest. decisions. This is a rare opportunity to experience haute couture from the heart of the industry. You'll be working closely with  designers in a high-paced creative environment.

When i attend teen vogue fashion university 2008 (fashion seminar) I got a great deal of industry advice one was intern intern intern. Doing a internship is important for gaining  fashion industry experience even though most internships are un-paid you learn alot and its worth it. While interning you can gain expericnce and knowdlege from people you work for and the people you work around NETWORKING is important too. I know having a unpaid job is hard during these times but if your a college student is pays off big time.
